Our welcoming bike at 'Floral Media' - For most of our Lions this was the bike of choice in their teens! Drinks reception on the beautiful lawns. Wildflower gardens in the background. The ladies looking wonderful in their posh frocks and Ian's hair blowing gently in the wind.Fozzie and Evie looking resplendent in their evening attire pretending that this is their garden and house. Brian and Francis are so relaxed. Got onto the seat but can they get up?? Do we really have to go in for the speeches??? Best include some of the Rotary!!!! Bill Brown's definitely making the most of his greeting with Jill Key - lingering just a little too long. Enid and Barry discussing Brexit. Deal or No Deal !!!! Has there ever been a more relaxed start to a Charter?? Best get inside! The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Superb venue !! Incoming President comparing himself with Kennedy, Putin, Nelson Mandella and I think even Trump got a mention. Think he could be too intelligent for most of us Lions. The old handing over to the new. Love the backdrop - shame Sky TV cameras weren't there. Put this in Black and White because I think that's the last time he danced judging by the moves he was making on the dance floor!! High powered secret cabal discussing a presidential takeover but have already forgotten who's the present incumbent. Actually it was a discussion about the new Forest manager. Tony has offered his services. A great night was had by all - thanks to all who had a hand in organising it. This is for Peter - 'Great leaders carry a watering can at all times - The job is highly dependent on your ability to nurture. Be the person who tells them what they are doing right and maybe, they will grow into something amazing." Of course this doesn't apply to our Lions - we're all past it!!!!

Not sure which is Alastair's best side! Suggestions on a post card please. Steve & Kathy doing some close up Dirty Dancing !
6 o'clock in the morning - yes 6am!!!!!! Setting up the BBQ's for the oncoming riders. Food station at Long Clawson. Providing food on behalf of 'Reach'Verdun and Bob were given the big responsibility of handing out the bread rolls to the customers - but often getting their finger rolls confused with their baps - but what can you expect from somebody from Milton Keynes and a Wolves supporter.Meanwhile 'yours truly' was instructing Fozzie on the right way to cook a burger... burnt on the outside and red in the middle. Well that's the way all mine turn out.
Our Human Fruit Machine in action! Our 3 new 'Privileged Lions' enjoying a natter. Barry has his name on his apron as Margaret wasn't there to remind him in case he forgot! Did Bob & Steve really hit it off? I think Steve had discovered his supply of beer had run out and noticed Bob still had plenty left!
This one tried to make run for it, so to ensure he takes part in next week's Duck Pluck on the Burgage in Southwell he's been securely tethered to the sign. Let's hope the Town Council don't fine us for defacing public property, or the RSPCA have words about cruelty to plastic ducks!
Brian receiving a membership extension award. Well done Brian, but THAT smile! Is this the new look or did you just forget something? and Roger the 1st receiving a jacket for being the clubs 'Joker of the Year'. Looks like the jacket's usage has seen a change as it used to be the President's Jacket given to him at the start of the year. But perhaps there's not a lot of difference between the two!
Is this a record? Our President, Verdun, is seen here badging up our 6th new member this year at the last business meeting on 11th June.. Roger the 2nd is sponsored by Roger the 1st. Confusing isn't it?
Great night out! Well done to Ian for organising it. Interesting films at the Broadway followed by monster burgers and fries washed down with a few pints at Annie's - the lads are in heaven. This is how all our plates looked at the end! A clean sweep. But don't bother to check your weight in the morning!
Pauline is a worthy winner of the Big One but then she also wins a small one. Love martin's expression - "that was mine" !!!! Beginning to think that Martin's only got one pose!! This looks like a deep discussion. Great position for the stall though - right next to Indian take away.
