 At first I thought they'd left a couple of garden gnomes to ensure the road was kept closed, but...  ... on closer inspection it turned out to be our beloved President, Verdun, and his lovely wife, Frances. Although not sure why Verdun's wearing sun glasses unless he was trying to be incognito!

 Well we must be doing something right! Bob (3rd from left) was 'badged up' on 11th September by our president, Verdun (1st from left). Watched over by our DG, Steve (2nd from left) and sponsored by Ian (4th from left, or 1st from right) who was until then our newest member himself. That brings our happy band of 'reprobates' back up to 30 members.
Not sure if, by joining, Bob increases or decreases our average age profile. Anyone else want to join us?  One of the best trips I've been on. Informative interesting and definitely thought provoking. Must have been good as J.H. actually focussed for a whole hour. By the way Pauline is on the visit but she's hiding behind Roger.  Lesley was an excellent teacher and never faltered despite our penetrating questions like 'can we recycle wine corks'  Getting our gear on but for some reason Barry has decided to go into some bizarre dance sequence. Think he's listening to Bing Crosby on his earphones.  Scarry!!!! Those starring eyes and aggressive stance. Veolia should employ him as their bouncer. He's just heard that all beer glasses are now only being served in half pints to save the environment.
