Helping our neighbours
Very often, it's not a donation that's needed, it's a helping hand - and the Lions are always willing to provide that service. Among the many ways that we have served our community this year are:

- Three local Scouts to attend the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in 2023

- the Lions International Eye Centre in Korle Bu, Ghana

- two junior elite athletes to help them train and participate in European and World Championships in dinghy sailing
- Enabling Hope
- Newark's Holy Trinity R.C. Academy
- A local resident for mobility aids to their home
- a Southwell Minster School student, to help towards the cost of competing internationally at IQFoil windsurfing, including at the world championships
- PASIC, a charity that supports families of children and young people with cancer in the East Midlands
- Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme participants at the Minster School
