“Lions’ Schools Challenge” Competition for Key Stage 2 Pupils in 2018/19
This is a new competition with two aims:
To support and encourage young children to take part in creative arts
To raise children’s awareness of Lions Clubs; who we are and what we do
The competition comprises 3 challenges; a different challenge during each of the 3 school terms, starting from September 2018.
The challenges are as follows:
1st Term challenge is to create a picture.
2nd term challenge is to write a short story of no more than 500 words.
3rd term challenge is to write a poem
Each challenge is open to all the children in each of the year groups 3, 4, 5 & 6.
Children’s prizes
A prize of £25 will be awarded to the winning entry in each Year Group, in each category.
In addition, each winning child’s school will also receive a prize as detailed below.
School Prizes
3 schools taking part:
£75 will be awarded to the school of the child from each year group winning a challenge.
4 schools taking part:
£100 will be awarded to the school of the child from each year group winning a challenge.
5 or more schools taking part:
£125 will be awarded to the school of the child from each year group winning a challenge.
