Music Quiz & presentation to a retired lion 28 August 2019

Here's Graham, doing the honours, explaining to John that the present isn't just a lump of concrete (although it is) and that he might find a suitable place to put it as a reminder of his time as a Lion!  Any suggestions on a postcard to John please.

John at least seemed happy enough, although I think he had been hoping for something 40% proof!

Mein Host, Steve, then proceeded to explain the rules of the music quiz, but no one was listening...

A surprise 'celebrity' singer then put us through our paces with a rendition of old songs.  I never knew John Craven could sing!  (Steve is seen here playing at least 2 of the 12 strings on his guitar, while it 'gently weeped.'

A full house and a very enjoyable evening.  Well done to Steve and Steve for putting it all together for us.  Looks like Steve will now have a solo spot at the Seniors' Christmas concert & afternoon tea.
