Carols for Everyone supports Maggie's Centre in Nottingham
Carols for Everyone, Southwell Lions' annual Christmas family concert, will be held at the historic Southwell Minster on Saturday, 9th December 2023. Every year, an outstanding charity is chosen to be the beneficiary of the event and, this year, the beneficiary is Maggie's Centre, based at Nottingham's City Hospital. Maggie's Centre provides free cancer support and information to thousands of cancer sufferers across our region every year.
Maggie's provides a warm and welcoming space for people to go to for shelter from the clinical, sometimes seemingly hostile environment of the hospital. At Maggie’s, you don’t have to have a cancer diagnosis to seek their free support; they are there for their friends and families as well as the patient and you can choose from a variety of services to meet your emotional and practical needs.
Our family concert this year will once again be filled with fun, music and sing-alongs for the whole family to join in. Music will be provided by the Southwell Orchestral Society and the singing will be led by the Southwell Choral Society. Special guests Holy Trinity Infants Choir and Southwell U3A Recorder Group will add to the festive fun.
Tickets this year cost £5 for adults and £3 for children (5-16 years). Children under five years get free entry. To buy your tickets, please email Roger Eastty at [email protected].
Thank you - and we look forward to seeing you on 9th December!
