President's BBQ
A long tradition in Southwell Lions is the President's BBQ, which marks the end of the outgoing President's term of office in a very informal way.
Saturday, 5th July was a wonderfully warm, pleasant evening to be outside socialising with other Lions and our guests. The BBQ is also an opportunity for the outgoing President to thank those who have helped to make a success of their year of office, especially, the Club Secretary and Treasurer but, above all, their partner, in this case, Maxine, for her support.
Nick Cocks also thanked Ian Gillings for lending us his garden for the evening and the cooks, Ian Edwards and Simon Dawkins. En excellent evening, enjoyed by all!
